Give The Gift of Giving

November 26th, 2009

Imagine being a child in a country filled with war and struck by famine. For most of these children, getting gifts on Christmas is something they only dream about. One of my favorite charities is Operation Christmas Child. Several years ago churches from all over began helping out in this charity, now even schools are starting to participate. You get a shoe box and pack it with items such as toiletries, crayons, hard candy, gloves, hats, flashlights, and small toys. This is one that I love doing with my children. I let each one of them pack a shoes box filled with items. Most of the items we pack it with are not gifts our children are used to getting for Christmas. Let this be a time to share with your children the many blessing that they may have. For more information on ways that you can help, visit the From Santa Blog.

Santa Gets a Letter from Chelsea

November 20th, 2009

ChelseasLetterToSanta

Santa got a letter from Chelsea today.  Chelsea, from Creswell, Oregon, is so very thoughtful and considerate of others.  In her letter to Santa, she has just one request…for her baby sister Mallory to have the best Christmas ever!  Chelsea is hoping that Santa will bring some extra pacifiers for Mallory to replace the lost ones.  Chelsea believes the extra pacifiers will allow her Mom and Dad to rest easier at night!
